This project was part of Helper’s First Friday, a monthly event that supports local art and business along historic Main Street in Helper, Utah. For this First Friday, the focus was a community fundraiser honoring the Castle Gate mining disaster.

My goal was to grab the attention of the community, encourage attendance, and visually honor the memory of the Castle Gate miners. To do this, I used a historic photo of the Castle Gate disaster as the background image across all designs. Bold, high-contrast colors to catch the eye, and to stand out in public spaces and on digital screens.
